What does it mean to fight yourself?
What does it mean to relinquish control?
Fully and willingly
When did all options seem good?
Ranking the good
Hard task to do as all choices intersect
At the point known as you
All feel natural and like instinct
Yet the confusion
The goal to find peace
At the end of a lifetime
No matter the what if’s
No matter the what could have been
No matter what was foregone
To be at peace
To find your place in the symphony
Struggle helps to find yourself
But that’s the thing
I already know who I am
Or at least a clue
Frustrating isn’t it?
To feel lost and confused
Cause you know who you are
So much noise outside as well
Can’t please everyone
Going to hurt a few
Even the ones you love
Those who were your whole world
And only a few will understand
So few
No matter how happy you are
Comfortable and stable
You’ll feel something is lacking
That illusive last piece of the puzzle
To say at last
“I know where my heart is.”
What is freedom?
They say you’re free to choose
But the idea of the light
Where one will be maximised
Where one will shine the brightest
To set the world on fire
To sacrifice so much
For something greater they say
Scary, yet mesmerising
Free will, they say
The driving seat
Whatever sense of control
Nothing but a false dream
To trust another driver
Completely
To trust time
To reveal things at the right time
To find a higher dream
In the greater scheme of things
To accept that spark
And learn why, how
Where it is rooted
What do you desire?
What does He desire
Then decide.
To offer everything
To give and not to count the cost
To fight and not to heed the wounds
To toil and not to seek for rest
To labor and ask not for reward
Say that of knowing
That I’m doing your most holy will.
